Why should i hire you?
High quality interior photography is costly but it is well worth the investment. Elevated imagery will help you attract new clients and create more bookings for your business. It will also help to spread awareness of your brand, expertise, and your design style when you get published in a magazine! There is simply no more impactful way to state that you are a professional, high quality designer, builder, architect, etc than you have magazine worthy photography of all of the spaces you create.
what sets you apart from other interior photographers?
After 10+ years in the business, I have met many people in the design and interior world. I realize that beyond my expertise in interior lighting, composition, creativity, and retouching— I bring a few intangible attributes to every shoot. I am first and foremost client-centered photographer. Rather than myself deciding every angle, detail shot, or composition, I love to hear my clients desires and provide them with exactly what they are hoping for. I shoot on set with my laptop connected to my camera so that my clients can see exactly what I am seeing through the camera and we can make adjustment accordingly. Even down to retouching, I work tirelessly to make sure my clients love each and every shot which is why I don’t charged for retouching or editing. If there is a color that needs to be tweaked, or the lighting need to be darker or brighter, I work with each of my clients individually to ensure they are over the moon about their images. Rumor has it I’m also a lot of fun on set.

can i hire a lifestyle photographer to shoot my spaces?
It is tempting to hire a lifestyle or portrait photographer to shoot your spaces as it seems “easy” to the untrained eye. As a photographer who also used to shoot lifestyle, weddings, etc I can tell you there is a giant difference between the two types of photography. Interior photography is much more calculated and if you have not been trained in this area, you will end up capturing perspectives that look out of proportion, distorted, or misrepresenting what the room looks like entirely (we’ve all seen those poorly executed Zillow images). There is a reason interior photographers charge more than the average hourly rate photographer and it is because of the training, education, and precision we offer with photographing large spaces correctly via different techniques that do not apply to regular photography. Please trust me on this one!
what’s the difference between real estate and architectural photography?
Architectural & Interior Photographers work with interior designers, architects, builders, contractors, businesses, magazines etc. The goal of an interior photoshoot is to highlight the best of each room, styling and prepping it to perfection with lighting, props, and more. These images would be for professional use, magazine submissions, portfolios, websites, design awards, proposals or more. Interior photographers will spend many house on post production (retouching, editing, compositing) to ensure the highest quality image is put together perfectly. This is another scenario where every photo taken has purpose and the images selected for retouching are also curated and carefully selected. It’s an investment in beautiful and complex imagery and photography— think quality over quantity as is not the case with real estate photos.
Real Estate Photographers work as quickly as possible to shoot the entire home without creating the best scenario or taking the time to perfect each shot. It’s not their fault, it’s a time, money and industry thing. It’s more like getting every angle, nook, and cranny of the home so that it’s visible for potential buyers, but it’s not curated or website worthy. The overhead lights are on, the white balance is splotchy, and it doesn’t look very high end. Real state photographers will simply download the files and send them to you without post production (retouching and editing). Real estate photography is a great and inexpensive way to shoot a home if you’re needing to sell quickly with a low budget. But for any other project, an interior photographer will most likely be the way you want to go.
